結(jié)構(gòu)︰the＋比較級(jí)…，the＋比較級(jí)…

說明︰此句型意為“愈…，就愈…”。若句中的為一般，而非（he，it，you，they）或（John，Mary），且后面的為 be 時(shí)，該 be 可省略。

The more you soften a request, the more polite it becomes.

你愈使請(qǐng)求柔婉，請(qǐng)求就愈變?yōu)榭蜌狻?/p>

The longer you stay here, the more you will like the place.

你在這里待得愈久，你愈會(huì)喜歡這個(gè)地方。

You should study harder and harder. 你應(yīng)該更用功念書。

The girl became more and more beautiful. 這女孩變得愈來愈漂亮了。

With the rapid economical development, China’s position on the international stage is getting more and more important.隨著經(jīng)濟(jì)迅速發(fā)展，中國(guó)在國(guó)際舞臺(tái)上的地位變得愈來愈重要了。

說明︰此句型意為“…是…而不是…”。在“…”的位置，可以用，，或帶有形容詞性的。
